The Glen Garry Dancers

The Glen Garry Dancers came together as a group to perform their traditional Scottish dance displays during January 1994. Originally the group consisted of five members and streamlined their presentation to the current three members. They now recognise that the performance of a larger group can often offer more versatility and are now on the lookout for new talent to return to five.

The present group consists of three - Candace, Pam and Del.

Candace is the youngest member of the group and is currently enjoying working in the studio. Candace is a dance devotee and enjoys the challenge of all forms of dance.

She has many years of experience behind her such as competing in Rock Eisteddfods, and performing in the magnificent yearly School Spectacular. She also is an avid photographer and has many photographs of her extensive travel that includes several trips to New Zealand.

Pamela Dunn, recently remarried is also a dance devotee who has a passion for entertaining combined with travel. Pam has been a dancer for over thirty years competing and winning medals and trophies that attest to the quality of her dancing professionalism. Her dancing demonstrations have raised many dollars for charity organisations and at other social events. Pam operates her well-known dance studio from her residence and is always on the lookout for talent.

Del Levett is the senior member of the trio and she now boasts about how she is going to teach her grandaughter how to Scottish Dance. Del is a dance enthusiast and she commenced her dancing when she was a teenager. Her dance repatoir includes jazz, tap, ballet and Scottish. Del is the Principal of her own dance studio. She joins with the Glengarry Dancers as part of her love of dance and also to add to her professional experiences.

At " AUSTRALIA DAY" we will see a great example of energetic dancing for our enjoyment.
